Good call on the AC. That's why I have and Eiger and a Kodiak, both around 550lbs. I understand your concern for a first year model. I must say I'm extremely pleased with my Suzuki and their attention to detail. It seems built well and is really quick, quicker than my Kodiak in fact, which is fast in it's own right, having outrun numerous sp 500's, 450's etc. The Eiger is a smoother ride than my Yamaha and the low range is super low. It's excellent for crawling down STEEP inclines w/ out sliding. I took a chance on the Kodiak as a 1st yr model and has been bullet proof. The eiger had a 1st production run recall which they already addressed before I bought mine, so I feel it will be a solid quad as well. One reason I bought it is it's simplicity in design. Even the in and out 4x4 is cable operated with a lever. No motor driven hubs, etc to break.
