I was hoping to get the thumbs up while at the dealer show....Now I guess I'm waiting for a letter....I've got my Suzuki application in too...The Polaris show was fantastic. Great organization, nice folks too. I think I did pretty well, I talked to everybody I could. I didn't get drunk or throw up on anybody! I dressed nice, smiled a lot, and genuinely had a good time. I want it bad, and I let them know it. But it is probably more a matter of papers than smiles, although I still think that is a big part of it. If you can't sell yourself how can you sell anything?
.....My application to Suzuki was 49 pages of financial stuff along with plans for the dealership. Whew! Most of the other "prospects" already had stores and were just adding the line. I don't know how many other start-up new dealers there were, but there were about 40 prospects all together.
.....I want to be open by Thanksgiving, but can't make a move till I get the thumbs up. The reps have promised to pay me a visit here sometime in August, including the elusive Yamaha, it might take till then. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
