Friday night me and a group of quadders went to the Kennedale drag stip for a night of bragging rights. Kennedale requires the full meal deal to run. I loaded the quad, helment, boots, pants, jersey and gloves and headed to the track. Upon ariving we unloaded and i changed clothes. After i was all Decked out i got on the quad and relized i could not shift because of the way i have the lever set. I got off teh quad and trip over my boots. lol Made a few adjustments and off i went. The light turned green and i watched raptorridertx take off, i decided i would follow. I pull up beside him and shift to 2nnd and passed him. Pulled in the clutch and went to 3 and notheing happened, tried again, nothing. My foot was stuck under the lever. lol Race over. I sneak off one boot and put a shoe on the shifting foot and try again. With a helmet on my quad is not very loud. I am getting better at this. A few more runs and the night is over. Saturday morning i get up and my feet are sore along with my neck. This saftey stuff was hard on me. Maybe i will just be the flagman in the future. lol

14mins, I have exactly the same problem with MX boots. Although I wear them most of the time during hard riding for safety reasons, they just dont't seem to work for me (shifting from gear to gear takes about 5 seconds lol).

14mins, you need to wear those fancy boots more than once to get them broke in. Try hiking around your track and climb the dirt hills at the dirt pit for a few days to get them broke in. Bring more than a pair of pliers on the next trip too.

Well I hope 14 mins beat me lol. He did forget to mention that I beat him by the full track once lol.I thought he was right on me then i look back and he is just leaving the starting line. If he could get his launches down he would have been beating me a lot worse than he was. I've gotten pretty good at the launches, had a .501 reaction time one run. Needless to say the 686 is fast. I think the heavy leather jacket I had and the fact i was wearing both of my boots slowed me down! lol
