1. Yamalube 2R at 32:1 or 40:1 ran both mixes.

2. I use distilled water and Kawasaki aluma cool. Now Yamaha has their version too. I use Yamalube 20-40 in the trans had have had good results with it. Most all are good as long as you keep them changed regularly.

3. New chain or not if the adjustments in the rear end come loose or the link comes out for some reason and the chain wads up it's likely to do it up front with my luck. Case saver is not that expensive and good insurance.

4. I don't like twist throttle and never have on a quad, on a dirt bike it's a different story. You use your body more on a dirt bike, and on a quad you use the bars alot more to pull and push the thing around. If you dont like the feel of the stock thumb throttle you can buy a Nibby. The thumb part is straight instead of bent like stock, and the shaft is adjustable so that you can set it where you want.

I have had no problems from the Spectro SX. Yes, it is full synthetic. I had a friend that ran Golden in his R and switch to SX without problems. He now runs cleaner and starts easier.

I put a JL water pump cover on both of my banshees so I could drain the water without removing the cover. I pulled the drain screw and removed the rad cap to let air in. After all of the water was out, I blew air into the vent line coming from the top of the catch bottle. This forced all of the coolant from the catch can. Then I ran water from a garden hose through the engine to flush it. Since I have the cover with a drain, I could start the engine and let the clean water pump through the engine as I flushed the system. Then I blew air into the radiator to dry it out somewhat, and poured the Engine Ice in.

Engine Ice comes in a 1/2 gallon jug. One jug will be enough to fill the radiator and catch bottle, with a little left. This stuff is worth every cent. I am changing my TT bike to this tonight.

I run regular 50/50 mix for coolant. For premix I run yamalube at 32:1. For tranny i run mobil 1 5w-30, never ever had a problem. But with regular motor oil I was having problems with the 4th gear on the coutershaft would seize up. I also run a barnett kevlar clutch never had a problem since swithching to the synthetic.

Do not just run engine ice if you live in a below freezing climate.

If you do use water and antifreeze mix and put the recommended amount of water wetter from REDLINE OILS in. THis will give you good results. and wont freeze and crack in winter.

On Engine Ice's web site they mention that it is good to -50 degrees F, so I imagine that it would be fine almost anywhwere.
