hey pel,
ive been to crooms...its 95% whoopdedoos...we stopped riding there
they take your $ but they NEVER groom the trails...what a ripoff
if they would groom the trails once a month it would be the best place in fl.to ride

p.s.the fl state legislature just approved a bill for 5 new state ride areas for ohvs
they have until jan 1st to pick the locations
thats great news!!!

An old railroad right of way.The tracks were pulled up 12 yrs ago but it is agood 26 mile trail. The bridge are hard to cross because the gaps between the wood is about a foot wide.

The existing railroad is cool to.The CSX guys don't mind either. It is awe inspiring on a dark night 5 miles from the nearest road to see a train come around the bend 7 miles away on the PeeDee river bridge. When I see the light I kill the engine so I can hear the sounds. It seems like an eternity before the train gets close enough to hear, and then close enough to feel.

Anybody else mesmirized by the site and sounds of trians?

Oregon Sand dune of Florence, North of North Bend. I really like the place, you can do hill climbing, trail riding, and ride on the beach.
It about 7 hours drive for me to get there......

RXRaptor,
I'll be at Silver Lake this Friday. I love that place. So much fun, but 5 hours away....

Biggin,
I ride on old removed train tracks too. There is still one set there. The train is fun to catch. We will sit & watch as it goes by & I say to my wife "What if it derailed right now?" And she always says "Don't say that!!!"
