What should i get

A Blasty sounds like a good fit for you.
It's been around a while & is a solid quad that handles reasonably well & there's a lot of hop up parts for it.
It's 2 stroke so you have to watch that the power band doesn't suprise you if your a first time quad rider.
If you buy new send your dad to get it for you, dealers won't sell you one if your under 16.

hey b, i just got a new Blaster last week! i'm 48, and have a breathed-upon raptor, but with the blaster body changes coming up, the dealers want the 02's and early 03's outta there! so.....here in Oregon, the price was 3400 OTD {out the door} that incl taxes, fees, blah and more blah. I offered them 2800 OTD and they called me back an hour later. If i'd go 2880, we had a deal. so now i have a blaster!
Man, dont let anyone tell ya they're junk...THEY ARE NOT! they are surprisingly well made and you can get just about any kinda hop up part you can think of. I'm goin' for tires, and then a slip on muff for a little more zip. a kid out last weekend on a new 250ex refused to race me! cool! ...and the suspension is adjustable too...many quads that size.. you get no choice...It definitely feels different from a raptor, but you CAN feel the family resemblance, honest!
If you're a youngin', i think a blaster is a great place to start! you will have a great time! guaranteed! feel free to send me a message if you have a ny questions or want some pictures! ok? have fy=un! ;p

Hey!
Yea! Go with the Blaster! I'm 13 also! I had the same question u did. I just got mine three weeks ago. Like THEMOOSE said watch out for the surprising power band!! That was the first quad i've owned and it was really really surprising!! The only thing I wish i had was Electric start and reverse. It really help in the woods. But othern than that I really really like mine! Have fun!!!

The Blaster is a great choice! First of all theres nothing that compares in its price range and second those things a practically bullet proof. They do have enough power to get a guy in trouble so be careful and start out slow!
