The cool thing about this choice is that you can't go wrong! I went from a Warrior to a Raptor, and believe me you won't have any concerns about weight or handling. The only thing you'll notice is how much faster you're going on the trails than you were on the Warrior. Either of your options is going to be alot easier to ride than your Warrior because you don't have to move around on them nearly as much. I find myself just sitting in one place on the seat and leaning slightly where I would have been sliding front to back and hanging of the side of my Warrior to slide, jump or wheelie it.

If you think the raptors tippy then get the Z because you probably don't no how to ride a quad and you need to be on the best Novice machine made.or your to0 lazy to get your *** of the seat. I'm 5'10" 180LBS THE ONLY TIME MY RAPTOR TIPS OVER IS WHEN I bLIP THE THROTTLE FROM A STAND STILL. Thats impressive when you consider the Raptor is seriously de-tuned.

If your a Yamaha man, then wait til next year i'm sure Yamaha will be selling the Z400...evryone else does.

Someday i will trade my wifes warrior for a Z,K,P-400...I think i'll wait til next year when the market is flooded with Z400's Kawi-400's and Polaris-400's. Which is what i suggest you do.

I would seriously wait til next year. Bombadier is supposed to be making a sports quad, The Z's have got to come down in price when three competitors are offering the same machine...The preditor will have been around a year and rumors have been heard of Yamaha coming out with a 400-450cc machine...and theres always Honda. You live in Virginia and the summers almost over. Wait.

Raptor660RNH I don't think you need to be going around judging how good a rider is when you don't even know them. And secondly you seem irritated that Suzuki and Kawasaki now have the same ATV on the market well in case you haven't been up to date with your information Suzuki and Kawasaki are joined together now so it was only natural that when one comes out with something the other will make something that is pretty close if not exactly the same thing. I don't want to wait on the Predator from what I read about it in a magazine they say the suspension totally bites on it. And with a price tag of $5,999 I could get a Raptor. You do have one good idea wait and see if Yamaha comes out with a 400-450cc quad. Thanks for all you guys input.

i am a happy owner of a 02 raptor. my wife and i were gonna buy a secound one for her but we are now thinking about getting the z400 for her. i think the deciding factor for us is the size of the rider. i myself am 5'10 and 195 pounds which i fit well on the raptor. my wife is 5'8 and 140 pounds where i think she could control the z better. i think their both great machines and you would have great luck with either one.

This was not directed at you or anyone in general...you asked. i answered...if you don't like the advice. ignore it. I'm well aware of the relationship between kawi/suzuki/polaris whats your point? i thought i made mine clearly...but here. i'll slow done in case you could'nt pick it up through all my sarcasm....

if you want to over pay for a quad that everyone will be selling for less next year to push their inventory because half the competition is selling the very same quad in green or black...then go. go buy your Z. you'll have the best handling quad from the company that was first on four...just like everyone else...Yawn.

until then enjoy the wOrrier.

You would be happy with either one. Both the Raptor and Z are great quads. I'm 6'2" and 250 and I feel very comfortable on my Z. This quad shifts soooo smooth, power is great...I'm happy with it.

Well a dump truck on NOS wouldn't not be fun but I think that would be a little far fetched to explain the Raptor. I know it weights in at 398 dry so does my Warrior so I wouldn't notice the weight at all. I guess I will just have to ride them both to see which I like better. I did manage to test ride the Z and I admit it is kind of quick and light. I will have to ride the Raptor.

1BadWarrior you might want to run this same post over on the Zuki board so you can get a better mix bag of comments. Make your own choice though, don't just listen to us.
