Hey guys, I've been talking with Eric from 4Wheel Thunder about this and wanted to get your collective ideas...I installed the Dynojet kit on my Wolv along with a Pro-Flo filter setup and now I need to open up my exhaust so it will all run in harmony...the tech at Yamaha told me I needed a new exhaust complete with a new head pipe. I've heard through the grapevine that the FMF Megamax doesn't include a new headpipe because the stock headpipe flows very good by itself. The only one I could find was the Supertrapp that included a new headpipe. What do you guys think?

I wouldnt bother getting a new headpipe. Chances are that the new one will be just as big, if not smaller that the stock headpipe. I would invest in other modifications. Just my opinion.

Go with the megamax2. its a great pipe and gives youa good power boost from low to topend.

Kinda off the subject Wolv99, but how do you like your lift kit/25" bearclaws? I was looking at that combo when my stock dunlops wear out, which won't be too awfully long. Only thing I was worried about was how it raised the center of gravity, especially during climibing and descending hills or high-speed cornering....what's your experience so far?

Wolv99, How loud is your Megamax2 on a scale of 1 to 10 with stock being 1? I ride a lot of public land and I don't want to antagonize the non-riders.

I'd say with the quiet-core insert maybe a 2-3.....without the insert about a 5 maybe.....I run all eleven discs without the insert and it's not bad at all!

Heres what I did, My friend has a warrior with a e-series pipe on it,I took it put it on my wolv, I liked it alot!, I then rode my other friends 98 wolv with a mm2, the power on the e-series was a little stronger on top with not much difference on the bottom, so I went to order the e-series but whitebrothers distribution had them on backorder 200+ so I decided to try Procircuits new t-4, it is a round type with optional quiet insert, and has 2 different end tips one for top end and one for bottom end, the tip it comes with is supposed to be all around increase, I love this pipe, with out the insert and the screen spark arrestor installed its really loud 1-10 its a 8, but it sounds good!, whats cool is when you add discs you lose power, I dont care who says what you restrict flow, it may make more power down low but on top flows what rolls, This pipe is stronger than both the mm2 and e-series. They also make a header that fits it, but its stainless and thats it its the same size, it runs for about 130 or so and the silencer with screen spark arrestor was 250 or so.
