big gun exhaust

if you like it loud, and i mean real loud, then go with the big gun. if you want performance and it just above factory sound, then go with the supertrapp.

well, i would not due just one thing to my quad. by just installing a pipe, you can lean it out.
the proper way to do it is to do a air filter, a jet kit, and a pipe together.
if you just do a filter and pipe, you really lean it out. do them all at once, and dial it in. i went from good power with the oversizes tires, to being able to stand it up in low. i can now outrun a stock griz with the larger tires!

when you buy your jet kit it tells you what jets are recomended for your alltitude what needle height to set to.They are usually pretty close but you might have to try different jets to get her tuned in .It will also tell you where to set your air fuel mixture screw at.This is also dependent on pipe and filter.

its not too hard to install the jet kit. if you have any knowladge of a carb, then its a breeze. the biggest thing about the carb is how hard it is to bust the screws loose. i had to use vice grips to break them all loose.
the big gun exhaust is really loud. the best thing about the supertrapp is that you can use the plates in the exhaust to dial in the richness/leaness of the fuel mixure. it is alot quieter too. gives the griz a low runble that is really nice to hear, and not at all overbearing.
i have mine set at the 4th clip on the needle, a 155 main jet, and 7 plates in the supertrapp. i have a stock airbox( for now, heehee)
you will have to remove the gas tank cover, the gas tank, the white plastic under the tank. the front rack, and black plastic under the rack. the side panels, and the exhaust heat shields and the rear 2 pipes.
the heat shields can be reinstalled with a little cutting on them with tin snips. unscrew the carb from the rubber boot, but DONT REMOVE IT. just turn it to the side a little to get to everything.
make sure the new muffler clamps are tight enough, or it will be impossible to dial it in properly.
good luck, and let us know if you need anything else!
