<< Hey guys. I posted a topic regarding swingarm length but didn't get a response. Maybe you guys can help. If I stick with the Blaster frame and use the inline 6 cylinder, how long should the swingarm be over stock?? I am keeping the rest of the frame stock except for what is neccessay to mount the motor. >>

Make it as long as you can & install an ejection seat while your at it!! LOL

Sirclip,

Why would you use the extra weight of the 6 cyclinder 1000 when the four cyclinder 1000 would save weight, be narrower, easier to ride, have better access to parts, 2 less carbs to sync, on and on.

As for the swing arm that would depend on overall power and balance of the quad. For starters I would not go less than 6" over. Are you going to make this yourself? You will need to reinforce the heck out of it as Whoops can be hard on longer parts.

Good luck, keep us informed.

Smitty

<< KNOWSALOT, You got the wrong idea there buddy. You were poking around and asking questions that I had already told you I would not answer for obvious reasons. I am proud of my work and stand by it 100%. I also have no desire to give away secrets of my work to you just so that you can benefit from my years of trial and error. Get off your high horse. You have been warned.

RAPTORYFM660r, My icon will remain whether you approve or disaprove. It's my choice. I'm not mad about it. Just letting it be known.

SirClipper, Stop rambling through the junkyards for engines. They call it a junkyard for a reason. Buy yourself a good used Raptor and build on it. Just don't go chopping on the frame though.

Why is there so many flamers on the Yamaha forum???? I haven't been here long, but I can see that the Yamaha and Honda forums rank high for BS

At ease.

Captain Crabby Pants, looks to me that your subject of your own destruction when you make comments like "the yammy and honda guys are all BS"

sirclip , as far as the swingarms concerned, I think smitty hit the nail on the head. Have you possibly considered a roll cage with a 5 point harness on this creation. Your machine is either going to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen or the coolest. (I would bet that you don't miss an episode of "Junkyard Wars" LOL!)

I never asked you anything except a question about the cost. Never no details about how it was done.

Your "secrets" are only in your imagination as smitty proved in the Blaster topic.

You stand behind your work 100%? Then why did you say that you have a nominal fee but if it takes longer than expected or if you encounter problems, the bill just goes up in price for every 30 minutes extra you have to work on it?? Seems like you just want money and intentionally screw up from time to time.

I have been warned?? If you think that you must warn me, do it in person. I only live about an hour away from the state line. If that poses a problem to you...then drop the subject and move on.

Guys, In bracket racing, we all know that its not who runs the faster time, but who gets closer to the dial-in.

Yes, you broke out and ran a faster time. I knew I had a killer launch, so I sand bagged just a bit at the top, so I would not break out... Hence the "slower" time than yours, but the WINNER on the time slip, and continue to next round...

Am I right, or am I right?

And thats lame, he claims to pull my sponsorship cause i beat him.. Jeez, I thought we were going as a team, Team Arrowhead. .. Now you see why I am a privateer for now...

Well I need a sponser also....all I need the sponser to do is just buy all the beer, when we go race. They can even help drink it.
