Wolverine Questions
#1
After much, much debating I fianlly decided I rather have the Wolverine over the Scrambler. I mean is the extra 150 cc's, fully auto, 2/4 wd really worth an extra $1000 bucks. plus iv seen the Wovlerine in action and that damn thing is crazy and can get through anything! Plus I rather have auto clutch instead of fully auto and I dont like the chain drive....anyways to the questions
1)Have you ever had any regrets of buying a Wolverine?
2)What cant it handle (from what I seen it can handle anything ;-)
3)Whats its top speed
4)Whats its miles per gallon
5)Whats the lowest price you think I can get it for (brand new) when its MSRP is $5,199
Thanks

my brother bought a wolcerine 6 months ago and hees how we see it. We take it to parks and tought trails every 1 or 2 weeks and the only thing that has broken was getting the sidewalls on the tires all chewed up and ruined. The all time 4 wheel drive is something my brother doesn't like. I don't know about snow but in mud it does have it's limits but It does do very well. Top speed- my dad's Sportsman clocked it at 45, basically It's a warrior with 4 wheel drive, Is shaft driven and has about half an inch less suspension travel (i think that's how much it is) Honestly I would not one but you may I like to go fast and even my warrior with Blackwater rear tires can go through mud that you wouldn't ever believe for 2 wheel drive and big rocks. Anyway, for miles per gallon well after about 6 hours of riding it only used 3/4 or about 1/2 a tank. For a brand new price I really can help you there, maybe they have it in NADA. Good Luck,

I'd get that speedo on the Polaris checked, my 95 Wolverine did 50 easy stock, surprised a lot of guys I rode with on Banshees,250x's,350x's,etc. With my engine mods and slightly bigger tires, my GPS shows right about 58 mph. My only major break was a swing arm bearing,I never checked on it, it dried out and rusted, then broke, just took a few parts to fix. I am always amazed how far I can ride, that tank just seems to last all day on a trail ride. I love hill climbs, it shoots right up, takes fairly deep mud with almost 9" of ground clearance, the suspension, for a 4wd,is good, I recently updated to Works shocks, man what a difference. The engine is easy to mod, almost any Warrior part (carb,cam,pipe/silencer,piston)will bolt right in.

Well im not realy worried about mud. There will be mud here and there but im not talking about 2 foot deep mud holes. I mostly will take it through rivers and lakes. Can it take that stuff good with out stauling and stuff?

I've had mine up to the bottom of the seat in water, just put my feet on the front fenders to keep dry, and motored right through. Put a little dielectric grease on the plug cap,and you won't have any water problems. You would need to go over the snorkel by the bottom of the gas tank before you run into any stalling problems.

The wolverine is a great machine! It handles everything very well. A guy I ride with has a scrambler500 its definetely faster but it breaks all the time, my quad goes everywhere his does, they both have there advantages. He has had trouble with it from day one. To answer your questions no I have no regrets, it can handle almost anything, although it has its limits, top speed is around 50-55 stock, I rode for about 6 hours one day still had 1/4 tank of gas, you can probaly get around 5000$ for a brand new one I could be wrong. But it has been a really good quad to me.

Now that the 2003 Wolverine doesnt come with a front rack what would you hook the in/out switch for a winch on to?
