Yep I get 18 shifts a year Vacation. since I work 24 hrs on & 48 hrs off 10 shifts=1 month!!
If I take 1 shift off I'm off for 5 days!!
I still have about 20 shifts in the bank * I'll get 16 more Jan 1!!!

But I bet you make more $$$$$$ than the city pays me!! LOL!!

I get 26days vacation a year and I usually just end up getting a check at the of the year because I can never seem to find time to take it. So how does the fire department feel about hiring in Fire Alarm/ Fire supression guys? LOL!!

There is a reason I've got 20 shifts in the bank, we can only have so many off at a time & unless I schedual them early (Dec the year before) it's hard to get any day I want!!

Are you sure you'd want to take the pay cut!!!
Rember you get to go in & put your stuff in before the fire, We go there while it's still burning!!
I don't think your wife would approve!! LMAO!!!

The $$$$ part of it isn't too bad. But I promise you I wouldn't have the toys if my wife didn't work also (shes a criminal lawyer). Truth be known she brings in a bit more cake than me and I'm still coming to terms with that.
