I used 22" tire of hauler with 8 paddles, Next time once the paddle is worn out, will go to 10 paddles.

Michael, I don't have a Raptor but I can say that on my Banshee when I switched from 10 paddles to 8 paddles it was probably the smartest thing I did. I had no idea how much those 10 paddles were dragging me down until I went with the 8 paddles. Just my$.02

I suppose for short drags a 10 paddle might be better since you want more take off than top speed. The 8 paddles really increased my top speed quite a bit.

I have the 10 paddle Skat-Trak Edges, and they too are tuff to get any wheel spin out of. I have not tried them since my gears, piston, and cam upgrades tho, I hope now it will turn them better. I do not recommend 10 paddle haulers unless you are bored!

I run 8 paddle 22 X 11 X 10 Extreme haulers & they work great in the dunes & drags.
I tried the same size Haulers with 10 paddles & they did drag me down in the higher gears.

Stick with the 8 paddles.

I run the 20x10x10 Extreme Haulers W/9paddels seems to work out good for me..... But then again I haven't tried any other Hauler configuration.

I don't have a Raptor but will add this....
Lots of DS's run 22's because of the weight of the quad, but I have 20x10x10 Extreme Hauler 8 paddles. I like them. They seem like a good combo. Some spin on takeoff, but better then stock & still OK top speed.
My girl wanted paddles at the LAST minute for her 400. All they had was the same tire. Good take off but 4th & 5th are pulled down. Even an 8 paddle Hauler is too much (for an almost stock EX). My advice it is better to spin a little than get pulled down in top speed from to much paddle. I wish we had a V-paddle on the EX anyway.

I got away from paddles because of the rough ride and also they slow you down on topend.I now run Ohtsu pro wedges, they hook up hard in the sand, ride lots better and don't drag you down on top. They are a honda dealer item only, come in 22x11x9 at around $58.each.You might want to give them a try. 2001 Raptor FMF powerbomb header, powercore-4,FTZ headwork,11:1 piston,webcam,185-190 mains(FCR35 carbs coming soon)
