PIAA lights for Banshee

I would look into a set of aluminators from Ricky Stator. You can get a set with 35watt bulbs and not even have to rewind the stator... or you can go higher wattage bulbs if you decide on a rewind

I have a better idea. Why don't you go to the nearest truck stop and pick up some round chrome driving lights. I got a set from a place here in San Diego for 27 bucks and they are about the same size as stock. The only problem is finding 35 watt H3 bulbs. Those lights are much brighter than stock. They don't have a stupid grill blocking some of the light output. You can run up to 130 watt bulbs in them but that's only if your stator can handle that. If you are set on getting the PIAA's Alba Yamaha sells them I think they are like 130 for a set of two.

I thought to myself, I will pay the extra $ and get something that will bolt right on,(no tweaking necessary) and plug in directly to the existing electrical connectors. I was truly disappointed about the scotch lock connectors that were to be used in the installation.
After a few rides I broke a lens. So buy a new lens you say. I called PIAA directly, twice, no answer. I called the dealer that I got them from, "buy the entire light", "it is the only part number we have". I think I paid 159.00 for them. Look into Ricky Stator, or even KC lights. KC parts are replaceable, "easy to find", they look sweet, parts are cheaper, and for the hassle everyone knows where to locate a KC. I have since taken my PIAAs off and gone back to stock for now.
PIAAs with cover on, gave the bike a distinct look, nice. I was impressed with the lead crystal lenses, nice. Friends and I did compare to stock banshees, and our conclusion... PIAAs had a better focal point than stock, but did not seem to produce any more light. Also, a better focal point didn't help any more than stock lamps in the dark night of the dunes.
I also have a set on my Warrior. They are a pain to adjust. If you want to remove the mount to get the plastic nose off of the bike, bolts must be undone to get at other bolts. I am truly disapointed in my purchase of PIAAs.
