When mounting paddles - is it better to line the paddles up between both rims or stagger them. Example: 8 blade straight paddle - better to have blade on each tire hit the sand at the same time or stagger so that one tire is on the "flat" while the other is on the blade?

Hope this makes sense - essentially, "bounce" up and down or "wobble" side to side.

Line’em up man. I just bought some paddles my self and I’ve looked through the past questions on this and basically I found this. If you’re just playing around in the sand it’s not important but if you’re drag racing or hill climbing it’s better to have them lined up. I lined mine up.

Yes you want them lined up.
I removed the rear hubs & turned them on the splines till I got them to line up exactly.

Since the subject came up, do you guys have them mounted at a regular tire shop, or a motorcycle shop. I am needing to get some new tires for my ds and already have the rims, so I need to find a place to mount them up properly.

Also, I prefer to have the paddles lined up.

Bat, I get mine done at a regular tire shop. They charge about 5 to 10 dollars each to remove/mount tires.

I line up my paddles as well. If for no other reason that when I am hauling them they both sit the same way in my truck and I don't have one getting bent over.
