ha ha I might only have a Warrior (which really is slow) but I have rode them all. Including the Banshee, 250R, LT250R, and famed Quadzilla so i know what horsepower is all about. The only reason I have the Warrior is I like four strokes cause you can actually trail ride with them.

I meant no harm with crack on the warrior....take no offense

I really like the warrior...it's a good bike....

But for everyone else...bring your 250's and your 500's woo hoo hoo

I told you....a stock banshee might get eatin up by one of these bikes in a strait line....

But my machine is far from stock.....so lets get it on. It is Friday right? How about a half day from work...go to the track and ride?!!!!

Dude,
Whoever it was that was beating a KX 500 on a Banshee, well the only reason that could conceivably happen would be if the KX was worn out. It should stomp the banshee EVERY time...

If I were you, I would not waste my time racing that 500, you will indeed get smoked...

there is no way a Banshee will even come close to touching a KX500 The banshee wil;l lose and lose badly. Yes a 125 may only have 33hp to the 39 of the Banshee but lets look at the power to wait ratio, 220 to 370 the banshee is going to have a run for its money with the 125. (both riders being of equal abality) Just my thoughts, this from a loyal Honda fan

125s are not really that quick, my friend has a 1998 300EX with bald stock tires, Pipe , and K/N Filter and has beaten a RM 125 with a pipe and silencer, and a CR 125 with pipe and silencer both bikes were in around 1993-96 , I m pretty sure the CR was a 95

all this dirt bike against wheeler thing all depends on the driver/rider too....wouldnt you think....
This last weekend...I was really beating 125's really bad.... and in my neck of the woods...have not found a person yet that can hold on too a kx500 at full throttle for a drag race....that back end was all over the place...when he did get some bite...the front wheel said hello!!!

Now for moto cross...I would not consider trying to keep up with a seasoned rider dirt biker.... ON THE TRACK. I can relate to the weight thing

I know the area where I ride very well.....I have beat a 500 and a 125. Oh well....None of these guys race in my class anyway....dirtbike...quad....racing....drag strip.......
such a different ballgame.

Hey guys i used to have a 125 and it was pretty fast but now i have a banshee and also ride my dads Husky 430. the husky is so damn fast im and sure it would smoke my banshee however off the line i would take the husky cause i have more traction and can keep the front end down but once the husky gets goin it will kill me..i dont have a chance. You really have to watch how you control the power on the Husky becuase one time the husky got away from me and i ended up 15 feet away from it and had a real bad headache the rest of the day...just my thoughts on this

I would be very surprised if a 300ex, mods or not, beat a 125 motocrosser if they both had equal riders.

You can beat the 500 because you have mods, that's fine. But if he had all the same mods, or at least an equal amount of money invested, would you still beat him?

For those of you who haven't ridden a racing mx 125, you would probaly be very surprised how fast and powerful they are for a "little 125." Even bikes that are ten years old still seem much more advanced in the power and handling department.

I don't think the manufactures want, or try, to make quads as fast as bikes. Just look at the XR400 vs 400ex.

I have just about come to the conclusion that I won't be buying a sport/high performance ATV 2-stroke or 4-stroke until they put a motor from a dirt bike in a decent quad chassis, that still puts out the same power as the 2-wheeler. Of course by then I probaly will have given up on quads and moved to bikes.

I hope Cannondale doesn't "slow down" the FX400 comapred to the MX400, like Honda did with their 400.

People who think any quad has a chance against a any 500 moto cross bike should take a ride on one or go watch a race and get that silly thought out off there mind.I used to race a 125 RM but now I'm to old so I switch to riding a 4 wheeler the next thing I will switch to is a wheel chair after this.
