which is faster a kawasaki kx500 dirtbike or a banshee i need to know because im going to drag race some one who has a kx500 and i think i might get smoked

 

You will...a nice 125 could probably beat a banshee

A stock 500 will probably hit 110

 

A KX500 puts out 50+ horsepower and weighs 220. Your Banshee puts out ~40 horsepower and weighs 400.

A neighbor of mine used to live near Pismo and rode a big KX500. He used to hillclimb with Banshees. He obviously beat them, but he said they'd get the jump on him (quads have more traction) and lead for 25-30 yards. Then he'd get those ponies working for him and rip past them while floating on top of the sand.

 

In reality they go 87mph, still really fast for a stock dirt bike.

 

It's not true that your definately going to get smoked..... I have a somewhat worked banshee and a freind with a kx500.... I have beat him in a strait line many times. He has also beat me a couple of times. (A bit of work and a good rider on the kx would help)

A KX500 will not do anywhere near 100 mph.(at least 10-15 mph less) Thats real close to what a stock banshee will do (~70mph)......A little work on the banshee and all of a sudden things start to even out...go figure.

A stock 125 has no shot in the wind....at least in my town

a stock kx500 will do about 87 but it can be geared way up to go about 105 and still have decent low end power.
A 125 will prolly lose considering most have around 33 horses compared to the bannshees 39, but they only weigh 220lbs. a 250 will beat a banshee and a 500 will smoke it.
