A couple weeks ago I thought I noticed a rattle at wide open throttle, but wasn't sure of myself. I rode it home and parked it in the garage. When I went to get it out this weekend, it wouldn't hardly start. I gave it half choke, and after cranking 7 to 10 times it started but ran rough. I let it warm up to see if it would idle better but it ran about the same. I took it for a ride and I can still hear something rattle at Wide open throttle. I shut it off to look things over. I opened the air box and it had an overwhelming gas oder. when I went to start it again it wouldn't start. I figured out it will only start if I crack the throttle open a little. I don't know much about engine's so I hope you guys can help me. Thanks

 

Sounds like your having issues with either your decompression spring or starter clutch. This would be two areas I would check out first.

 

im not a expert tech...but did u try without choke and gas? check ur spark plug and look at the forks...it sounds like its gettin to much gas...but the guy who posted before me prolly knows more then me and his ideas would be the first to look into
