raptor tranny

where is the cheapest place to buy tranny parts?

forth looks as bad as second


3rd and 5th arm't pretty either
so i have to get 2 through 5 gear wheels and pinions and
2 shift fork

Yep, the 4th gear wheel actually locks with 2nd gear. Did you find one of the 4th gear wheel dogs rounded? Mine was.....this gear engages reverse.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]. BTW....this engine originally was'nt designed with reverse.

I would say that any 01 owner should be very careful in using reverse or not at all.

the cheapest, CHEAPEST, cheapest place to buy tranny parts from is at your local YAMAHA Dealer. You need to put the raptor on the shelf and buy a real quad. You cant even hold on to my Banshee, im living proof.

rb,can you keep us posted as to how this all washes out
i havent had any problems,yet,but everybody seems to think i will
i have well over 200 hours on my raptor...any idea how many hrs.on your motor?
have you talked to sam coe about billet gears?

I had about 180hrs on mine when it failed. Disconnect reverse.

The forged set-up runs about a grand.....no vaseline included.
