Just put my highlifter unlocker on my 1996 wolverine. I had to buy some parts for a 2001 wolverine. here is the list. One compression spring, 90501-235L9-00. One washer, plate 90201-20266-00. Two circlip 99009-19400-00. One seal 1, 5gt-46136-00-00. One seal 2, 5gt-46137-00-00. Two cross joint comp 3, 5gt-46108-00-00. Four circlip, 93440-20088-00. Four bearing 93399-99948-00. List price on these yamaha parts are going to be around $400.00 give or take. This thing is a BLAST TO RIDE. You can get the parts at any Yamaha dealer. The drive shaft on the old models are bigger in diameter, so these parts have to be installed in order for this thing to fit. A big thanks to twigstoy!!! Good luck airwolf, Mike.

So, 400 bucks to get the 300 dollar unlocker to work? not worth it in my book,us older Wolverine owners will just have to keep hounding hilifter to make one to fit our models as well !!! Spending more than the unit itself just to make it fit is not a very good deal in my eyes. I don't have that kind of money to spend on things like that, I have a house and a kid to take care of,took me years just for the mods I have now!!!

95 wolv, I 'm with you on that. I can't justify $700 to convert, either.

Oh Highlifter, nag, nag nag...

After talking to Highlifter, they told me they are not coming out with one for the older models. With Four Stroke Tech's 500 kit in this thing, it is a blast in 2wd.

I bet the 500 was a blast even before the unlocker, now it must be amazing!

I am still hunting some salvage parts so let me know if you come across any deals.

I heard the same thing from Highlifter, maybe Warn will come through and make one for us "old" Wolverine owners.

It sounds like most of the money is in the u-joints. I'm wondering if there is any aftermarket combination that would work. I know that Yamaha wants bizarre $ for oe joints.

You are correct, the yokes and the ujoint assemblys are the most expensive parts.
