i think part of the prob. is that stupid sloppy shifter.

 

Having seen both transmissions 01 and later style I can tell you there is a huge difference in the two units...not simply a gear change as some dealerships would like you to think...I have yet to hear of a failure of a 02/03 trans in the raptor...although the shifter is no help it isn't the problem...replace your shifter using a steel replacement for nice shifting. good luck with your pile of parts...call and report to yamaha of America 800-962-7926 have your name dealer name and vin # ready...maintain calm voice and tell the operater your problems, ask what they recomend since you don't have the money to fix thier problem.
