K&N filter care?

Never owned a k&n filter until now.always had foam filters. I didnt get any care instructions with it so how do you take care of it when it gets dirty. please dont say,throw it away and buy another one$

Yea you throw it away & get another one, everyone knows that!!

















Just kidding!!! LMAO!!!

Go to an automotive parts store & get a K&N Recharger kit, It's about $10 & has enough of the cleaner & oil for several cleanings. My Yamaha dealer carries them too.

Read the instructions & do not use compressed air!! It'll destroy the filter!!
Make sure all of the filter surfaces are oiled,it's easy to tell because of the red color of the oil.

I don't but why not foam filter oil? It seems like it would all be the same thing.

You will love your K&N. Not just because it will flow more air. It's a breeze to clean and far less mess.

The oil for a K&N is for gauze type filters. It is supposedly different oil than that made for foam filters.
