Friday I picked up a new 03 Wolverine. I finalized the deal on my lunch break and I didn't have time to wait for the dealer to install the rack. I figured it'd be easy, so I told him I'd do it myself. It looks like the rack fits over the grab bar and the front goes through the plastic and bolts to the frame. My question is, do I have to cut slots in the plastic? I'm not sure how comfortable I'd be doing that. If thats the case, I may just bring it back to the dealer and have them install it.

I haven't looked at the newer Wolverines, but when I bought my 95,they came with no racks, but on the back fender,on the plastic behind the seat, you should see two circles in the plastic, that is where the holes for the rack go.I used a knockout,it is a circle cutter that uses a bolt to pull the cutting edges together, makes a smooth hole. A holesaw would work fine, too. If it is new, I'd have the dealer do it,shouldn't cost much to put some holes in.
