Hey All, I'm gonna have a foot peg mount and headlight bracked welded up on my Warrior tommorow. Do I need to worry about destroying the ignition/electronics on the bike. What can I do to assure things survive short of removing everything?

Thanks in Advance for any input

At a bare minimum I'd remove the CDI & unhook the battery.

i've welded on mine before, just clamp the ground as close as possible to where you're welding, your current only runs between the two. I'd take out the cdi anyway- too damn expensive to replace, but not hard to remove!

It wont hurt anything, like theyamahakid said the current only runs between the the clamp and the rod, if its aluminum be careful not to melt it or its ruined.
