The stage 1 is a good cam. You will not lose bottom end. You should build power another 1200 rpm's over the stocker. It should be good for a couple of lenghts in the 660. It will put you well ahead of the piped/jetted crowd.

Big55sexy... I have just about the exact same jetting as you & I am about to drop in a Stage I hotcam & 11:1 high comp piston, cost is minimal since I am installing myself but a good source tells me you'll move the peak hp up to 7100rpm from 6500rpm with the Stage I Hotcam so its not to radical & as long as your botttom end doesn't suffer now I bet it'll be a nice improvement. I am installing the 11:1 piston since I run without the lid & my low end suffers because of it.

Hey Chimmer what would it be like if i just install hotcam sage1 set up with my stock piston would i see a big diffrence from stock from. The reason why is the Cam is cheap and it shouldn't cost me that much to get it in stall should take about 2hour to do it don't you think or should just wait and safe some more money and get the piston have them install at the same time.

Since he posted I thought I'd say that my good source was Raptrorrc-thanks, you da man!

The mfg thinks the cam alone would produce around 1.5hp so if your going to pay someone to take the head off, its only another hour of labor to swap out the piston & put in a high comp one. Of course its another $110 or more for the part! The combination is suppposed to get ya another 1.5hp -I'll be doing mine this week with me good buddy Warrior007. This time I'm going to wrench while he watches, directs, & drinks my beer! Let me comment on my findings at the dunes this past week as far as the performance of the Hotcam stage 1 and the piston combo.

I have this riding buddy (BansheeWarrior) that has a Banshee with these mods: K&N with a pro flow intake, reed spacers and carbon fiber reeds, cool heads, fmf sst pipes, boost bottle, inline cooler.

When at Lil Sahara in Oklahoma, me and him drag raced probably 10-12 times with him beating me at least 8 times by a half quad to a full quad. This was before the cam and piston install. We have always been each others measuring stick on performance in the drags.

This past week we went to Silver Lake sand dunes in Michigan and we raced 5 times in the 300' drags. I tore him a new a$$ winning by at least 3 quads. The one race that I pulled a massive wheelie in third gear, he only lost by about 2 1/2 quads, and that was the closest race we had out of the 5. The others, he lost by at least 3 lengths!!!

I gained 3-4 quads in just 100 yds by these internal mods. For $250 it is the best performance mod you can possibly do to your quad!! It don't get any better than this for me! I am extremely happy with the results of this combo - actually, I'm tickled to death!!!!!!!!!!!
