Works Shocks on Wolverine
#1
I called Works to order some shocks last week. I was told that they were not offered in triple rate so I placed my order for the duel rate w/rezzies. After receiving a call from Mike (Tri-power) who has triple rates and doing a little research I learned that triple rates are available and I even have an option of spring colors (depending on spring rate). I guess I assumed that the salesman at Works knew what he was talking about.
I have since called Works (spoke with Sandy this time) and although my shocks have already shipped he has agreed to make things right. I will test out the duel rates when they come in to see if they are overly stiff or soft before I send them back so he can make final adjustments at that time.
Just a word of caution to anyone buying Works shocks- DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU ORDER! I though I had but trusted the salesman anyway.
Also – anyone have Works shocks not in the familiar – red, white and blue? I am thinking that a black main with red helpers would look good.

Hey,Airwolf!
Last month,I finally got my Works shocks in,got them from Retrocylce in Wisconsin, got a real good deal on dual rate,no rez fronts with threaded adjustment, and single rate rear, threaded adjustment.I must say, a HUGE difference over stock, especially with my bigger tires. Jumps are soaked up with a 'cush' instead of a bang and a bounce, the front end doesn't slam me around in the rough trail sections, and no more back end bottoming in rough whoops. Of course, put shockwears on them, had to order 250R aftermarket shock covers for the front, and Blaster heavy duty aftermarket for the rear.Sounds weird, but they fit fine. Good luck with yours, let me know how they work.
