Throttle stuck wide open on my new polaris which had 176.5 miles and had three rides on it. Nearly killed me and left me with a life long seizure disorder (yes I had a helmet on). I had no warning that there was anything wrong with my quad....but had it in the shop to have the clutches adjusted one day prior to the accident...this was back in 2000. Needless to say the machine is under lock and key until the reason for this accident is resolved ....and bought a new yamaha.

Man Rondack, sorry to hear about that, glad to hear that you are still able to ride.

It looks like my Father got the bike for $1200 (the salvage amount). The reason that they totalled it was because the frame was broken and the labor that the dealership charges to move all of the parts from one frame to another was outrageous.

He is going to pick it up tonight or tomorrow, and hopefully we can get started on it in 2 weeks (he is going hunting next weekend).

Turbo33, it looks like we will be getting one of your frames, so I'll shoot you an email and see if we can work out a deal.

Also, apparently the throttle did stick wide open on the guy, it is still stuck, so it will be interesting to see if I can determine why it stuck open and fix it so that it doesn't happen again.

Thanks to everyone for the help,
Dean
