My pro circuit pipes on my banshee are turning blueish for about a foot after it comes out of the engine. Normal or not??

Running lean by the sounds of it. My toomeys have never changed color since I've had them on the bike.

I have the same pipes you are to lean! Also Mother's chrome clearner with a tooth brush takes the discolor off and makes them look new again.

Maybe if i get a chrome pipe it will save me all this jetting trouble Mine runs forever on 1 plug then i put a new one in and it fouls it after 2 rides (warrior).

Yes it works great, take a old tooth brush, and Mothers chrome and alum cleaner and brush the discolored area a couple times and it takes the discolor off and looks new again, I do this after every ride Im really crazy about my quad its a 99 and it looks show room new still.

I checked my plugs and the center is black. It sure doesn't seem to be running too lean. Machine runs great and I'm getting ready to run it at the dunes this weekend at silver lake and I don't want run it too lean. The center should be real light colored if its too lean correct?

If its to lean the plug should turn a whiter or a reallly light brown. a chocolate color is more the color that i look for.

That what I thought and this is black so I'm still not sure why these pipes are turning blue? No big deal as long as that chrome polish cleans them up and the engines not getting hurt. Later

Did you do an actual plug check or did you just pull the plugs after riding around or had the bike been sitting a while without running?
