Hey guys I am new to this whole CVT tranny is there any reason I shouldn't use synthetic oil? Will it mess up the clutch or anything? I run Bel-Ray semi syn in my warrior and have had good luck so far. And I always use synthetic in may car. If anyone has any info on this it would really help

From what I understand is that as long as it DOESN'T have anti-friction additive in it, its good!!

Most synthetic oils have anti-friction additives. I belive the owners manuel says not to use synthetic. I would recommend that you don't.

On the Grizz, the clutch never touches the oil. The anti-friction additives usually only hurt the clutch on MANUAL or SEMI-auto clutch-equipped machines. There are synthetic oils available for atv use that do not contain these additives, but since there are no clutches on your machine that ride in oil, it doesn't really matter if you use automotive oil or not. Just use a high quality oil. Amsoil is the best oil around.
