Ok. I posted this once and didnt get correct responses. I recently bought a clutch basket off of Ebay for my banshee. Its labeled "JP Racing" and the guy I bought it from SAID it was from a Banshee. Its new and its billet. Its a great basket and all, but there is a problem. On the back of the drive gear on the basket, there is a really small gear. It has about 18-20 teeth on it, and its on the BACK OF THE DRIVE GEAR. I have a good illustration from the Alba website that shows it. Its the very small gear on the back of the primary gear. But the problem with my basket is that on the back of the big gear, there isnt a small one. On the stock one that I am replacing, due to a stupid mistake, has the small gear on it. The other doesnt. It apparently, from what I could see, hooks it up to the kick starter. How do I get my small gear off of the stock basket to the new basket? Please help... Here is the link to the Alba page with the illustration. Its part #5, the small gear on the back of the big one. Illustration

If this makes any since.. please try to help me...

87Banshee, I do not know this for sure but it appears from the parts list on Alba that the part does not come off. If it were a servicable part they would assign it a part number. It appears it is an intergral part of the factory clutch basket. Sounds like you got the wrong unit from your e-bay guy?

The guy assured me it was for a banshee. He apparently wants to call me and tell me how to get the basket of the stock one to the new one. Sounds like the problem is solved..?
