We have some dunes, but only on the huge river deltas, like on the Copper River which is close to where I am from. They don't get very tall, but they are still a blast to ride on!

Since I'm not very knowledgable on Alaska's geography, how many miles and in which direction would you say they are from Anchorage? My sister lives in Anchorage and I'm considering moving there. You don't happen to any pics, do ya?

Oh, not too far away by Alaska's standards-- 6 hour drive from Anchorage to Valdez, then a 5 and a 1/2 hour ferry ride to Cordova, and then a half hour drive out the Copper River Highway. Not a very realistic weekend trip from Anchorage, and not really worth it unless you plan to stay for a week or so.

I don't have any pics scanned from my local areas, sorry...

So why are you thinking about moving up there, just for your sister or did you find a cush job?

vilnrk, I used to live in Seldovia as well. I'm guessing this must be Kincaid? Drop me a PM, I had a 200X. I'm sure you can figure out who I am.
