Yeah, I know what ya mean about the '01 and fast speeds!! Mine has already locked up (during a drag race) and has been replaced! Or I would not have been going that fast with it, especially on pavement! I rode scared everytime I was on it... but not anymore. I now ride with one of these-> everytime I climb aboard my Raptoid.

Nuthin like it!

I actually ride mine, almost WOT, on the rode a good bit. The area we ride at here is a serries of dirt and sand pits that are all about five miles apart. When we get done with one is a race to the next one. Its alot of fun until you meet the police. I ride with a bunch of 400s so I get to toy with them on the way. I actually drove to work once, its about 22 miles down the I-state.

My top speeds aren't accurate so I won't say, but its fast.

I haven't tried to top it out yet, but the other night I ran 74.5mph in the 1000 ft., this is with razrs on back, 14/40 gearing. And that was just pulling fith right at the 1/8th mile mark..........it is true, maybe more so if you have the front lowered, I put some struts on and almost ate a guard rail once, I shifted from 3rd to 4th and it got kinda squirely, like it wanted to visit the right hand rail...Wheeeeeeee

Ward, thats a pretty good distance.

I live in a town of about 450 people. We have two bars. It is common to see tractors, lawn mowers, and atv's parked in front. The mowers are local. The tractors are passing through. The atvs come from 5-15 miles out just for fun. The neighboring town has a day each year set aside to allow atvs to ride the streets. Lots of fun.

I don't think I would want to leave a bar on my Raptor. I wish our town would do something like that. All of our law men wouldn't like it very much.

Yes, the time I ran 86 mph I had a Coolhead with 22cc domes with FMF pipes with Turbine core 2 silcensers and a set of shedders it was 44 HP on a Dyno!
I got upset with my friends letting there wifes control them and couldn't ride any more so I got pissed off and put it back to stock and sold all the mods on E-bay, after a year of not riding I rode it stock it was so boring that I put the mods back on some different, I'm having the head milled and ran on a Dyno in the next couple weeks it should be just a fast then!
Good luck with your Banshee you'll enjoy it, just hope your friend aren't married.
