Things to help low end wood be a smaller front sprocket and higher compression and a low end pipe and port job,adding tires with tracion will help to!

 

I got an amplink and that thing helps out ALOT on low end.

 

Interesting.... I wouldn't think a device that sucks up 4 HP would help the low end very much?

Peltrax covered it pretty well, compression, low-end pipes and port and gearing. Advancing the timing 4 degrees should help some too.

How does that thing suck up that much horsepower? They get alot better grip on the ground!

 

I forget where, but one of the performance shops dynoed a Banshee before and after putting the Amp link on and it lost 4hp. There's aquite a bit of drag with the extra chain & sprockets. While it may help traction (I don't know) it does take a considerable amount of power.

 

I was reading in Dirt Wheels once and it said that the amp link was one of the best bolt on products you can get. Is that just there opinion or what?

 

Well, I don't use one but it is supposed to help with traction and avoids the issue with the chain tensioning the suspension under power. The drawback is that it robs power and adds mechanical complexity.

 

Maybe the amp link affected the way the power was put on the dyno??i dunno??ANyways if you want EVEn more low end you can get the cingle carberator from trinity i think its like 350$$$$
