Peltrax covered it pretty well, compression, low-end pipes and port and gearing. Advancing the timing 4 degrees should help some too.

I forget where, but one of the performance shops dynoed a Banshee before and after putting the Amp link on and it lost 4hp. There's aquite a bit of drag with the extra chain & sprockets. While it may help traction (I don't know) it does take a considerable amount of power.

Well, I don't use one but it is supposed to help with traction and avoids the issue with the chain tensioning the suspension under power. The drawback is that it robs power and adds mechanical complexity.
