Is a 2002 Griz the same as 2003?
#1
Looking a buying 2002 Griz or Kodiak. Are the 2002's the same as the 2003's or has there been improvments, changes? While I'm asking, are the 2001's the same as the 2002's? Kodiaks or Griz's. One thing I like about the Griz over the Kodiak is the suspension while still being reasonable light. Prairie 650's seem god-awful heavy.

Off the top of my head the only difference between the 2002+2003 griz is the rear belt breather cover under the rear rack is black instead of the same color as the fender.
The 2002 400 kodiak is better than the 2003 400,it has a hydrolic rear brake, and I think the new one doesn't have park but not sure, may be the 450.

your right the 2003 400 kodiaks have no parking gear. it is stupidly plain as far as that goes. F-N-R. thats it. i was kinda wondering how are you supposed to pull anything halfway heavy with the kodiaks? there is no low gear. or don't you need it.

The differences between the 2002 and the 2003 Grizzlies are this -
2002 - ujoint front drive shaft.........2003 - cv joint front drive shaft
2003 comes with more heating protections for the carb and gas tank, and has new graphics.
That is it.......pretty much the same exact machine.

And the Updated floorboard supports still suck. They only added support for the rear, they did nothing for the front.
Do the mod on my webpage and be done with it.....very simple, and very solid.
