velociraptor, did you have to take out your lights for the shocks to fit, or was that a remant of the lowering kit? i want to keep my lights, as i often ride in low light forests and such.

one last question, how is the ride and travel now with the other shocks? i go through all kinds of conditions and someone told me the rap shocks were head and shoulders above the banshee and blaster ones. thanks for the info, glad you warned me about the kit!

Why would you want a lowering kit if you ride in the forest?

Why on earth would you want Banshee shocks on a Rap?
They are the biggest complaint with Banshee owners......too soft
I couldnt think of a bigger downgrade

Im guessing this set up would be for drag racing ONLY!

My Elka's dropped my ride height by 2.5"

I cant understand the logic behind this move.

Default Raptor/SHee/etc. Shocks???

i meant that i also ride in the trails and forest. i dont want the quad to be a lowrider or anything like that, just would like a lower center of gravity. and the reason to swap shocks b/w bikes is because i can probably find some used/older shee shocks cheaper than buying new. i dont have the money to go out and buy new stuff all the time.

I gotcha maddog56. This is just my opinon but I would scan the classifieds and e-bay for a set of used works shock before I got the Banshee shocks.

Being that price is of some concern I would look for Works. I have heard MANY times they are the best bang for the buck when it comes to shocks. I personally LOVE my Axis. I haven't heard of any that are just bad. I might stay away from Ohlins, I think you can get a better shock for about the same $$$. Elkas, TCS, Axis, and Works would be on my list, not in that order.
