Default upgrading blaster brakes!!

In the process of getting a 97 blaster for cheap!! But real concerned about the brakes problems I have read about on the quad. Does anyone know if Banshee spindles,rotors,a-arms,calipers,etc. will bolt onto a blaster? Have seen nothing but bad reviews on the Trenga kit and to be honest, not looking at putting that kind of money into it either! I have access to alot of used quad parts and was wondering if anyone has tried this. Looking at doing both front and rear disc! Thanks

Don't know for sure about the Banshee spindles and rotors, should work, but I know several racers who have done it with Warrior parts, bolts right in. For the rear, either the new 03 Blaster setup will bolt in,but buying from Yamaha would be spendy. If you can find a Kasea dealer anywhere, they use blaster frames on their Skyhawk 150 and 250, and use a hydraulic rear brake.Might not be as spendy as Yamaha, and will bolt right in. Banshee or Warrior rear caliper set up may also work, the axle carriers are very similar,a quick look at the rear of either one should tell you if it will bolt up,or need a little adapting. I just picked up a junk blaster a guy raced with a YZ80 motor in it, the back is mostly gone, but he had made a metal bracket and adapted a street bike double piston caliper for the rear brake, I bet that would grab real good!! Can't wait to get all the parts to get it up and rolling again.
