What are you talkin about? "blaster just a little bit faster"?????

Dude... when I had my completely stock 2001 400EX I kept up with a piped 86 250R untill his 6th gear, then he crawled away.

My 99' 400EX with WB- E series pipe and IMS 440 kit and 15 tooth CS sprocket kept right along side a stock Raptor. (two actually.. at the same time)

440 kit was around 280 bucks + 100 for machine work to install sleeve. 10 bucks for sprocket. WB slip on, im not sure how much it was.. it was on the bike when I bought it.


So, tell me that 5-600 bucks into a 200CC blaster is going to put it alongside a 660CC Raptor....... I DONT THINK SO.

Blasters are commonly put along side 300EX's, NOT 400EX's!!!!!!!!!! My stock 01' 400EX would kill a blaster!!!!!

400EX duds lets do the math here
a ct 240 blaster has 40hp
a stock 400EX has 27 a pipes add about 2 or 3 hp except for thunderrallys claim of 6
so even with six thats 33
so 40 to 33
blaster is fifty pounds lighter
the blaster is going to win
how many times to i have to mention that 250 strokes race against 450 fourstrokes you need double the displacment to make similar power

 

and talking about money
a blaster is just over 3000 stock
the 400EX is 5700
that gives us 2700
that would buy the 240kit and a lot of other mods
if you guys add a pipe we have even more money to work if it were to be even

Blaster's stock have 18-20 HP(2-stroke). DW is wrong. Then a 250ex 16.9(four stroke), 300ex has 17-18 stock(four stroke). Like Toomey said it takes double the displacement of a four-stroke to add up to a two-stroke's power.

 

if you don't believe me go to the ct website under blaster and you will find that it says that the 240kit has 41hp

 

Raptor8 we could set a race up. I know your not a duner but you only live 20 miles from me and Chad400ex is a good friend of mine we could get something together if ya wanted a challenge? Just a thought. Your chances of meeting are much better than you thought.

 

Ok tomeyblaster boy lets get this strait.. Do u actully think that that Ct kit that suposdly puts out 40 HP relly does?? i dont think so! of cource thier going to put the very higest HP reading possible.. Another thing u probly have more $ in ur quad then i do i have about 500 in it not including the paddles and i would rip u up in a drag.. Like i said B 4 if a 230 blaster cant come close 2 me do u think u can??? No , no way.. Just food for thought.
