KING,
Well I said it last year, There is only enough room at Glamis for one King. Last year you were the king. This year I may be the King, see how my 420 stacks up against your bike. Can you say "all hail the King, RoostKing!!!"

King,
Fortunately I have already beat my buddies 686, but I may need to get a few more runs in against some competition. This 420 is going to be a whole new ball-game, so its going to take some time to learn to ride. I know your monster is going to be nothing like your bike last year, so i aint sayin a thing until it happens!

Mr350X,
I hope to have it done by the weekend before Halloween. Problem is, the guys with my crank seem to be taking there time, so my engine builder cant really get much more done until the crank gets here.

Talk to you guys later,

RoostKing...

Hows the wash road? Is it just before or after the store? Is it dirt or sand? Soft hard packed? Need a 4 wheel drive etc? TIA

Wash road is just after the store and before the railroad tracks. The road itself is hardpack dirt and shale. When you merge off the road into the washes, it gets a little softer. The higher the wash number generally the softer it is deeper into the wash. Stay under wash 10 and you'll be fine. All sorts of RV's back there. Just make sure to keep your momentum up and don't bury it if you start to spin. I have a 2WD F-150 supercrew lifted with 33's and I tow a 24ft toyhauler that weighs about 7000 lbs with water. Its like dragging an anchor through the sand. I have only started to spin and get stuck a few times and that is because I stopped at night in a bad spot to try to find a good place to camp. I usually throw some steel ramps I picked up at Harbor Freight for $40 under the rear tires when this happens and I can drive right out of it. If you are going to be finding your spot at night, pick up one of those million candle power spot lights to help you find a good spot as you keep moving.

What's your rig like? If its lighter you wont have any problems at all. Hope this helps.

Thanks alot SandJunkie.

I drive a 2wd Dodge truck and pull a 21' travel trailer ultralite, 4000lbs plus 2 Raptors in the bed of the truck. Never camped at Glamis but it appears me and my brother will be going over the 2/3 of Nov. It'll just be me and 1 maybe both of my sons so I may just use the truck to sleep in and use my brothers toilet in his camper this time to check things out. I don't want to be around the idiots and I like to sleep at some point at night, the washes are the place for me it sounds like.

Thanks.
