This is gonna be my first time putting alot of money into a sport quad so I have some questions. I'm planning on buying a 01 or 02 raptor and modding it to push all the HP that it can. my question is how many HP does a stock raptor have and how many can I get out of it. also can you give me an ideal of how much these mods will cost me? I also want to extend it so I can hill climb with it.

First off BUY AN '02, the '01s have tranny problems.

About 31-33 stock HP.

You can get out of it what ever you put in it$$$$. 50-60 range should be fairly cheap, depending on where you get it done and whos 50-60 hp

You can extend the stock swing arm but if I had the $$ I would buy an after market one.

it will go as fast as you wallet is willing to pay
you could get a big bore kit from like trinity or someone
run alky or something like that
will need to lengthen the swing arm tho good luck

You only thought it would be 2 grand I have over 18k in my bike. If I knew I was going to be this far into my raptor I would have bought a frame and built my own. I practically did but if I built my quad from the ground up I would have a quad that would weight about 50-60 pounds lighter and be faster. I love my raptor dont get me wrong but if I had a chance to go back I would have done it different.

what would I have to do to raise the front end in 3erd gear with a +2 swing arm while makeing pretty good speed? and how much would that cost me? I dont want something that tops out at 140+mph. I just want to be able to hit supper steep hills in 3rd hear with out haveing to gear down and be able to lift the front end through a watter hole with out haveing to gear down to 1st or 2end.
