My exhaust straps are ruined. Yoshi was supposed to send me some, but they never did. I really need something before I ride next, because they got really bad next weekend. What have you guys used to make some straps out of? I know there is exhaust wrap and dynamat...but I would like something that isnt shiny/ugly.

Mark..yeah. On the yoshi it's grey...I tried some black rubber I found at home depot to no avail...it melted pretty fast.

 

I used pipe wrapping years ago on my motorcycle, its a strip of metal with holes in it for adjusting the tension around pipes in houses. Some make it out of aluminum and some make it out of sheet metal. Try your local hardware store.

 

The problem isnt the mounting hardware..it's the rubber straps that go inside of the hardware to protect the can from scratching.

 

velociraptor..it's not a matter of being a problem..there's 5 things that come to mind I can use for an exhaust strap. The problem is it has to look good. And that rules out those 5 things[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
