new lights ...........

i found some halogen lights that my bro took off thew back of his truck, and im t rying to hook em up to my blaster. there is one red wire coming out of it, and one that is screwed in, and then put around the bolt inside (maybe to ground it?) my question is, how do i get these buggers to lite>?
i also found some good, cheap lights, that are 50 -55 watts, i need to know how much my blaster can handle, also how many volts?
thanks

Im not real sure, but I think 50w is to much for a blaster which doesnt have any auxilary power, such as a battery. Some one else may have a better answer but Im not sure how much extra lighting your stock stator can handle.

I don't think i blaster, or any quad can for that matter can handle hologen lights off a car. i'm not entirely sure but i would get some expert advice before i wire it up to my quad. the most i have ever seen are 50w lights but they were made especially for 4-wheelers.

I was running 2 KC daylighters on my warrior for a while. They worked great no dimming at all. Problem i had was it was real hard on the battery, decreased its life. And if they where turned on without the bike running it would drain the battery pretty fast. On a two stroke you would have to get the stator rewound and i don't know how much that would increase the wattage allowance to. The only thing that would happen is they would run dim.
