warrior jetting
#1
i have a 2001 warrior with a supertrapp slip on.....with a 150 main jet. i installed the pro flow kit now it falls on its face on the bottom.
i went to a 47.5 pilot from a 42 and up one the clip position....but still does the same...no change..... what would be recommended to do now? would a 152 or a 155 main help? my dealer said upping the main will help on the bottom also...is this true? or does he not know wht the hell he is talking about. thanks for any help.

I'm new to the whole jetting thing, learning by trial and error.
I put the ProFlow on mine, but also modified the air box. Also am running an after market pipe. I have a Dynojet setup so the needle is quite a bit different than stock, but most of my adjusting, after getting a baseline main (144, high elevation here) came from my air/fuel screw. So far, I have been able to get rid of that bog by adjusting that. So many different things factor in, i.e., elevation, temperature, riding style, air box, needle, etc., in order to get to that perfect ratio. I'm not sure if there is a quick fix, maybe someone knows one. Sounds like it still needs to lean out somehow.
Anyway, maybe a simple messing with the air/fuel screw may help???
Fun with carburetors!!!!
this is kind of a neat site from Trinity racing...you have probably already seen it.

Not sure if this will even help. I have a 2000 Warrior with a white bros pipe on. I started having a whole bunch of probs this summer, so never figured it was the jetting at the time I was running 150. Took that thing apart like 6 times went through everything, rejetted went bigger blah blah blah. Finally took it in, was scammed $100. They didn't do anything! Anyway, my husbands buddy was sure that he could fix it, so he had it for a few days, went through the entire thing. Finally, he rejetted it back to the original jetting! Pretty much fixed it. One of the jets I had was for a snowmobile!
We never could figure out how it could run fine then all of a sudden start bogging out. Our buddies theory was there was a peice of sand or dirt keeping the gas from flooding in and it worked its way out. Anyway it is fine now(except bent axle)We did have to adjust the air fuel mixture though a couple times to get it perfect.
Take Care and Good Luck.

I got the 148 in and it works great. Kinda pointless though, I got all the plastic off and im waiting to find somone to do my engine work. Put the tank and hood on and cruised a bit, 148 was perfect.

well i went ahead and tried the bigger main... 152 and the middle clip pos. it helped a whole lot but it still had a little stall..... so tomorrow going to try the 155 and see....if that dont work then i'll go back to the 152 and tinker from there...
does that seem kinda high for a warrior? i think im at a 200 ft elevation.

I think everybody is forgetting about elevation. your elevation above sea level will also have effect on what jet you use, the dealer should check this before they even sell the bike. Factory jets them for the elevation of the factory. Also running lean will run you a bit faster but is hard on the motor. I am in utah and i hear about people going to glamis from here and not rejetting and telling everyone there banshee ran like a raped ape then suddenly went to ****. Its cause they didn't rejet for the elevation and ran too lean. Unless you have fuel injection you have to jet according to elevation
