Default I've about had it with this jet kit garbage!

I have tried everything on my Blaster to get it to run right with this new pipe, but nothing seems to work.

Long story short, have a pro-circuit platinum, K&N,reeds, reed spacer. So the kit came with a 300 and 290 jets, both which ran way too rich, fouled the plug.

So I bought a 280 jet, still ran a little too rich, 270 ran somewhat better, but still was a little sluggish/bogged.

260 ran great as soon as I hit the throttle, but the plug was light light brown, it was running too lean.

I have decided to just take it to a shop and have it done right, what should I expect to pay for labor wise on just jet changes? I am going to croom in 2 weeks and want this bike running 100$..

It's down low where it's sluggish with the 270/280's, then it sort of breaks out and pulls alright up top, still doesn't even pull as hard as stock.

The needle is on the 4th setting, when I put the 270/260 jet's in I didn't change the needle because I couldn't get the spring off.

Sound like you are running rich on the needle that you need to lower the needle clip. the way you telling me that top end running fine. It not the main jet issue. It take fine tuning while jetting on 2-stroke.

PM ToomeyBlasterRyder and see what he can help you out......

The needle is on the 4th clip, 2nd from the bottom so I only have 1 richer to go and im out!

It seems all bikes are different, friend of mine has the same kit with a 260 jet in his blaster with the stock needle, and it runs like a champ

I am just getting really really frustrated with it.

That's why it's going to the shop.

Hey I take this back, I meant to say raise the needle to lean it out. I had it backward.

Before you take it to the shop spend the dough on it. Let other peoples help you out.

Talk and pm some of the blaster owner on this forum.....

Ya, like I said If I knew how to get the needle out I would do it myself.

I did the jets myself with no problem, just couldn't figure out the needle. Maybe i'll try putting the 270 in and leaning it out a little bit.

Anyone have tips on the needle.

Ya, but the air is alot thinner up there.

a 310 or 320 would not even run on my bike, on any needle setting.

so ya i just ment that it could be the needle not that u should use a 310 or whatever
the main jet is for like mid to top end power
while the pilot jet or needle is for idling and lowend power so if its low end that it doesn't seem to be working right that would be it
