Default I've about had it with this jet kit garbage!

I agree I think it's the needle.

Tell me this, what is the difference performance wise between stock/aftermarket needle that comes in the kit.

i'm not a 100percent sure but usually when you buy aftermarket needles its to fine tune you machine to exact jetting i could be wrong tho
what do you guys think?

BlasterHd i live in your area,and i am running a 290 jet...If i were you i would open up your airbox a little and see if that helps at all

I'm thinkin along the same lines as peltrax. take the snorkel off first of all, then try punching some holes in the lid. If you don't open up the intake, all the extra flow from that pipe and reed mods will go to waste.

Default I've about had it with this jet kit garbage!

Not sure if the carbs are the same but on mine to get to the needle you take out the screw that holds the arm on the rod that pivots to bring it up and down. Then you pull theh rod out the side of the carburator (its attached to the throttle.) For the life of me I couldnt get a 400ex carb apart to get to the needle.

yeah i would say run 260+- at sea level. toomey says bring the needle up one, and my pipe came with a 310. too mucha fo you! and then he said to take the airbox lid off and leave it off! {after i drilled all those holes!!!!}
if you re prob is low end, its prob needle position. watch yer plug. nice light brown.
