Default Question on Grizz 600

I am thinking of trading in my 2000 Kodiak for a 2001 Grizzly 600 and I was wondering if they are good machines or not. The dealer has 7 used 600's, it just seems like a lot sitting around at the dealers. I can get rid of my bike and $1000 for a 600. I am just looking for something a little bigger with a little more power. Any replies would be greatly appriciated. Thanx

Default Question on Grizz 600

The 600 Grizz has plenty of power but keep in mind, it's an air cooled engine. If you use it for moderate to fast trail riding, its great but if used for slow speeds or heavy load, be ready to put up with some engine heat. On the other hand, with the winter around the corner, a little heat can be a welcome thing. Go for the one with minimum mileage and looks like well maintained. You might even find one with extended warranty.

Default Question on Grizz 600

the 600 is built like an ox! It has tons of power! If you can trade yours in and get a deal like that you should consider a brand new 660 grizzly. They are like night and day!
I think if you trade in your Kodiak for the 600 you will kick yourself down the road. I have the 600 Grizzly I like it but I do kick myself for buying it and not the 660, I know have the 660, well I just need to pick it up!

Default Question on Grizz 600

Thanx guys, the 660 is a little out of reach for me at this time so I figured the 600 will do for know. I know the Kodiak 400 is a good, reliable machine and I am hoping the 600 Grizz is the same.

Default Question on Grizz 600

The 600 is good to go. Unless you are in water above the trans vents. It's easy to snorkel though. I've had one since 1998. I've added many mods and it's still very hard for most quads to beat in speed and power. The newer big bore quads have out classed it i suppose. But in 98 and i believ 99 it was the 4 stroke best buy In DW. Or maybe it was two differnt mags/rags. One of them was DW though.

Default Question on Grizz 600

Hey Mudrush, is there any big differences between the 1998 and the 1999 Grizz. I hear they did some changes, but was it because of any faults in the 98. I found a good deal on a 98 that I think I am going to jump on. Just want to know if there is any first year production problems with it. Thanx for any info you can provide.
