Most changes have been minor like electrical part changes. The CDI plugs changed, newer models came with the goofy functional brake lights, the electricals on the parking brake changed. Not much difference though as long as you get one with a-arms not j-arms. The only thing with the 1990 model might whether it has been bored before and how much, too much and you'll be buying a set of cylinders
