So should i buy a raptor in the spring even thought you guys claim that there is still starter problems. If the are still problems Ill probably buy a Z400.

 

I have an 02 and my starter has never failed me.

The only failure I've had was my fault, I tweaked a tie rod end after flipping down a dune.
It was only slightly bent so I rode the rest of the day with 1/2" toe in instead of 1/8".

I've found it to be a very fast, fun, & reliable quad.

 

who else has not had any problems with there starter bearings on an 02 and newer model.

I haven't had any tranny problems either. As a matter of fact, I haven't had any factory supplied problems at all.

dad has an 01 rap and has no problems at all besides reverse is way to fast

Yes, the reverse on the 01 Raptor is faster than most quads go forward.
