Default YFM-225 Moto-4 Question

I have an after market manual for Yamaha ATV's and it says, the cam chain adjuster is automatic for the 225CC engine, and there is no manaul adjustment for my 1986 Moto-4. Can someone confirm this?

Thanks

Default YFM-225 Moto-4 Question

I believe all yamahas use the same mechanism, still to this day. Its allways mounted on the back of the cylinder and uses a spring and latch to self adjust (the spring pushes the latched rod out which pushes on the cam chain slide, this takes up the slack) The rod can only push out, it is locked from going back in until you physically reset it by removing and starting over.

Warrior007 is right about the adjuster. If you need anything for that moto-4, I have one I am parting out. E-mail me at Sandric@go.com or PM me.
