Default -Glammis Question-

Glamis was closed due to the amount of trash left behind by campers. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people got together and cleaned it all up and the park has since then been re-opened. There might still be some areas that are closed. I think it was all the High School kids having parties there that left the trash behind. Don't quote me on that!

I was there last weekend and yes its mostly open. Just the same old areas are closed as always. There is SO much sand there you probably will not even come anywhere near the closed areas.

You must go at least once in your life. Its a blast.

Great riding, great people and most of all great partying at the bottom of comp at night.

Just DO NOT leave any trash behind or they will continue to close the greatest riding spot on earth.

Default -Glammis Question-

Glamis was not partially closed from the trash. It is pretty clean for the most part. There are a few trashy spots where some of the partying and irresponsibility takes place. It is been a focus of the ASA and many other groups to keep Glamis clean and keep the partying, irresponsible rif raf out. Glamis was partially closed because of a false claim from the enviro ***** regarding a plant that is listed on the endangered species list. The claim was that off road use in the dunes was further jeopardizing the survival of this plant and the BLM was not properly managing the dune complex for the survival of the plant. Proven studies have been done to show that the plan is thriving and should be de-listed. If you want more info regarding Glamis, check out THE ASA

There should be an open season on tree huggers like that, they should be considered a pest species and can be shot anytime.

To bad theres not.
