kodiaks?
#1
What do all you Yamaha boys think of the Kodiaks? Are they any good? I'm looking for power, and definitaly reliability. I like the swing-arm so it's not soo tippy if you're riding hard. Tell me what you think or any experiences you've had with them. thanks.

my ride is a 600 grizz--but i'm a big old boy----wife has had 2 kodiacs---she's 4'10'---the bike fits her better than anything she's been on ---is simple to operate and will do anything my loaded grizz will do---just bout beats me in 300 foot sand drags---less than a bike length---i'd put wheel spacers on her next one just cause she's learned to ride better and is going to need tires for the mud and water we get in texas during the winter---hope that helps ---check our club site for pics----funwheelerpark.com---we're both on a few pic deals---ride safe---come see us

I have an old and a new Kodiak and think that their great. The new one is more fun of coarse with selectible 2-4wd. It is a very user friendly atv. If I would have known that the 03 had diff lock I would have held out until they were released. I weigh 230lbs and have no problem to do doughnuts on dirt. If I bought a new ATV tommorrow it would be another Kodiak with out a doubt.
Good luck and happy shopping.

I have no complaints with the swing arm at all. Its not as smooth as independant suspension but its fine. The shaft has never given me any problems nor have I ever heard anyone mention any problems. After reading about CV shafts breaking, my solid axle sounds like a good setup.
If you have any other questions, let me know.
